We really appreciate your feedback each week. We have been using it to discuss our productions and come up with ideas to improve.
Today we developed some success criteria for our speakers. When everyone has had a turn at being a reporter we will use the success criteria to set ourselves goals to work on to improve our oral language skills.
These are our success criteria for speaking:
1. Speak clearly – volume, slow.
2. Face the camera and look at the camera. Make it so the viewer can see our mouth.
3. Stand still- Hands hold the microphone, stand up straight, you might need to point to the map but otherwise hands by your side. Legs stay still in one spot.

Another great report Room 23. Each week is better and better.I think that it might be a good idea if your reporters keep the microphone below their chins so that we can see their mouths when they speak. Some of you are qutite hard to hear, but I think that is more to do with your microphones than your voices! A great effort, very informative. Do you think that a Google Earth image (using screen capture) of where you are reporting from might help as well as standing in front of the map?
I am looking forward to the next installment already.
Wow - I can't believe the improvements you have all made since your first episode. You are speaking much more clearly, standing still etc. Well done to all the crew as well.
I hope you have a great time at the disco tonight (or had one by the time you read this). You deserve some fun after all your hard work. Can't wait until next week...

Great Job tv23m news!
I like the way the reporters tell the news with such great inflection in their voices. Way to go! The map is also a good idea. It gives me something to focus on so I know where the news is happening. The music was fantastic and the anchors were very professional. It is easy to see that a lot of work happens in front of the camera AND behind it!
My only complaint is that the microphone looks like an ice cream cone and it's making me very hungry!!!! YUM
Best wishes for your continued success...

Well done Room 23 - I love watching TV23 news and appreciate all the hard work that you and Mrs Rosser put into it. Thankyou.
Great news. Your reporters and anchors get better and better. Loved the music. You do have a lot of recorder players in your school.
Looking forward to a report that says the All Blacks have won!

Hi Guys,
Sorry it has taken me a little too long to post a reply. The presenting was fantastic very professional. I liked the live report on the recorder lesson. I agree with Mr Kinane I think using Google Earth image would be fantastic and would add another dimesion to the reporting. Keep it up.

I was very impressed with the professinal manner 0f speaking of your news anchors. A bit of a smile would be ok in the States but maybe the sober approach is New Zealands style
I loved the recorder session. Their notes were clear, distinct, and lovely. They played in unison which means that the students have learned to follow their director. The students from your own class did a marvelous job on the introduction and the ending of your News.
